Still writing and a thank you

Lily, Faith, and Hope - Spring 2011Lily, Faith, and Hope - Spring 2011Still feverishly typing words for the DNR report.  A joy while staring at the computer, though, is seeing your great comments about the calendars, notecards, and mouse pads.  Thank you.  A lot of people worked hard creating those items and are feeling rewarded.

News from Pepsi.  A leader in Eagles Nest Township had submitted a proposal to Pepsi for their next round of voting.  It was to help this core area where the research bears live.  It would have meant a rejuvenated well for the Town Hall, equipment for testing water quality in the beautiful lakes, equipment to boost the Volunteer Fire Department, and equipment for protecting bird feeders from bears and preventing bear problems.  It was a solid proposal from a community that values its wildlife, clean lakes, and the rural quality of life in this beautiful area.  We were looking forward to Lily fans showing their love of the bears and what the bears bring to the area through their fans.  Not to be.  Pepsi let the leader know that the proposal was not among the 1500 Pepsi selected for voting during December.  A downer.

On the up side.  That relieves any competition for votes that Lily fans would like to direct to help the Northern Lights Wildlife Society in the semi-final round of the Aviva Contest which starts Monday Dec 5.  They have made it to round 3 for a chance at the big money.  Watch for a link to be posted soon.

Thank you for all you do.
