A Day of Hope
snow on balsam needlesWith many people donating in the name of Hope, it has truly become a day of hope. The debt is gone! Donations have already surpassed last year’s Give MN, which is terrific in itself, and major matching funds are available this year.
The North American Bear Center is currently in 3rd place with $49,035 in donations—only $65 away from meeting the match! And if we remain in 3rd place it would mean a $7,500 prize in addition to the matching money. Amazing!
A pleasant surprise is that the Wildlife Research Institute is currently in 15th place with $15,835 putting us $6,605 behind 10th place, which would pay an extra $5,000 in addition to the matching money. Beautiful!
"Thank you!"'Give to the Max Day' ends tonight at Midnight Central Time.

To answer a question, the anonymous donor is offering $50,000 matching for the Bear Center and another $50,000 matching for the Wildlife Research Institute.
The way you are coming through has us humbled and optimistic about what we all can do for education and research. You‘re not only coming through with these much needed donations, but you’re coming through in many ways.
It was a talented team that put together the Education Minnesota Conference and a talented team that put together the information for this day of giving. Another team developed a comprehensive Volunteer Application Form. It is actually a Talent Quest Form that hopefully will reveal more and more Lily fans willing and able to help move things forward.
With the debt no longer hanging over our heads, we are looking forward. Several things are coming together as we will detail in updates. What an active and promising group we have become together!
Thank you for all you are doing—at this moment and behind the scenes for the future.
—Lynn Rogers and Sue Mansfield, Biologists, Wildlife Research Institute and North American Bear Center
