No known problems

Jos_cubs_blaze_-_20110915Everything is about like yesterday.  The bears are safe.  Juliet has continued to stay in the same spot for another 24 hours making us think more strongly that she has a den nearby.   If she stays there, we will find her in a den later.  If she moves, we will examine the area for signs of activity, using the GPS coordinates.

Jo_bear_-_20110915We checked on Jo (right) again because her GPS was not transmitting like it should.  She’s fine.  Her big single cub (below left) will be easy to recognize in the future from the distinctive V on her chest (above left).

Lily and family are making the big time.  They are the subject of a word puzzle in the Philadelphia Inquirer at http://www.uclick.com/client/elk/wwf/ .

According to the U. S. Forest Service and the Northland’s News Center, the fire is holding at about 100,000 acres (156 square miles).  With the north winds yesterday, people were smelling the smoke in Chicago over 450 miles away and in Joliet, Illinois, over 630 miles away.

We are still eating and appreciating your food!  Thank you again.

Team Bear’s fundraiser for the WRI will start tomorrow morning at 11 AM and go through Sunday at 11 AM with 2 drawing items, a virtual miscellaneous basket and a jewelry basket http://www.facebook.com/media/set/?set=a.10150356841030499.397843.263755115498 .

Thank you for all you do.
