More ribbons
Today, we caught up with June, Juliet, and Braveheart and put ribbons on them all. We also caught up to Jo and gave her a GPS unit. We gave her ribbons yesterday when we collared her. We made another attempt to radio-collar Hope today, and again met with failure. We laminated the signs asking hunters to please spare radio-collared bears. A busy day. Glad it was cooler.
All radio-collared bears are safe at this moment.
We noticed several scats today that contained three-leaved Solomon seal berries, common in swamps here, and another scat that contained downy arrowwood berries, a favored shrub-borne berry of upland habitat.

Thank you so much for your help through the Admin Fundraiser! The grand total was $3,850. Much appreciated. It put another dent in the thermometer total.
We also appreciated your orders for the 3-DVD collector’s set ($24.95) “Lily and Hope: Memories of 2010” at http://www.bear.org/website/gift-shop.html?page=shop.product_details&flypage=flypage_images.tpl&product_id=855.
Thank you for all you do.
