Ted, Spider - UPDATE July 28, 2016

A Lily Fan took this picture of Ted that looks like a painting. Nice.

The Striped Fishing Spider that spun an egg sac on June 26 laid eggs in it, covered them with webbing, TedTedand carried the egg sac in her jaws until the eggs hatched July 27 and she wove this nursery web for her newly hatched offspring. She was unable to eat the crickets in her living quarters while carrying it. I’m told she is now defending her nursery web against the crickets instead of eating them. We’ll learn how long she stays with her young.
