Walking the Trails - UPDATE August 30, 2014
Two other volunteers in the trail mapping project are animal trainers, so if Lynn needs any training, they’re the ones who can do it. On September 3, 2 medical research scientists will join the group. We’ll look to them for any ideas on improving the study.
Today, we walked roads and bear trails in the heart of the high use bear area for hours. Bear sign was everywhere. No bear approached us for food. In fact, we didn’t even glimpse one. We hope to actually see some to video their reactions.
We also went through some pictures to put on small pillows for couches. These four pictures of Lily and Hope brought back memories. A French manufacturer known for high quality merchandise and detailed high definition pictures on fine fabric has offered to work with us. The picture of Lily in June’s arms is from spring 2007 a special time for us. When June’s trust of us extended to Lily, there was no way we could comprehend all that that would mean. Two of the pictures are of Hope as a cub in 2010. The portrait of Lily is from August 6, just three weeks ago. We hope to have pillows/cushions with these and other pictures in the web store in time for Christmas.
Thank you for all you do.
