Ted's den Holly woke with a start last night when a vole was exploring her den and decided to explore her! Linda Gibson created a fun video of Holly’s sudden reaction and posted it at http://youtu.be/VC8DqUiKygg. Perhaps some folks reading this can relate to her startled response. The video also shows Holly carefully preparing her huge pile of straw before diving back into it.
Honey buried in strawElsewhere at the Bear Center, Ted totally ignored the new bale of straw placed at the entrance of his den. However, Honey pulled some of her bale into her den to augment her bedding.
We’re still waiting for issues with Juliet’s Den Cam equipment to be resolved so Den Watchers can resume real-time data collection. Fortunately, the video footage is archived on site so nothing is lost. We’re all anxious to see the footage so we can finish collecting data on Juliet’s labor and delivery.
