On this beautiful day that I spent indoors at my desk, the highlight was the pine marten paying another visit. It looked in the window, looked cute with its head cocked, and then looked up to let me record its chest marking from a different angle for the record.
‘Beautiful day’ is an understatement after days of high wind and temperatures 10-15°F below normal. Today, temperatures rose out of the doldrums to 18° above normal at 65°F with sun and nearly calm wind. The forecast is for another 5 days of this before temperatures drop back to normal. With no bears coming, sometimes the weather gets mentioned.
