Water on Their Minds - UPDATE April 23, 2020

With temperatures in the 50’s and bears in winter coats, a swim was in! Tasha found water and had fun, as "Taught" caught in this 5:10-minute video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f0C0zW3zers.Loon - photo by Ellie Hintze

Yesterday, Ted sat in his tub--maybe reminiscing—or wishing someone would take the hint, as "Pooch" caught in this 3:10-minute video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=na_GSyzLiig. I don’t know how he got the tub in position to get in it. The way he’s looking around, could he be looking for someone to notice and turn a faucet?

I wish I could read animals’ minds.

Speaking of water, rivers are open but lakes are only starting to open. Loons are clustered on rivers now as Ellie Hintze saw yesterday early morning near Ely.

Thank you for all you do.
