Catching up - UPDATE April 8, 2020

I’ve missed a lot the last couple days with my email, internet, and furnace on the fritz and my cell phone not working after I dropped it in a puddle. All are working again.20200408 Raccoon20200408 Raccoon

Tasha brought back good memories of walking with bears and learning about a favorite food that I would never have suspected from examining scats. Came spring, and the sap was running in the maples and bears were demonstrating that people are not the only critters that like maple syrup. Tasha knew what to do when she found that treat in the enclosure. Pooch captured the action in this 2½-minute video of Tasha at a red maple. Tasha Snacking at an NABC Tree ~ 4/5/2020

Out the window, the Eyes of the Night preserved a searching look from a raccoon while the rest of the world slept. By day, the gull named 6 O’clock struck a dramatic pose while his mate watched with what I would think would be admiration. At least that is what I felt when I saw it.Tasha licking sapTasha licking sap

At this moment a snow squall is trying to undo the melting of the last few days, but any success with that will be brief at this time of year. I look forward to seeing the view in the morning.

Thank you for all you do.
