Ted Out Raking, PA Bear Being a Mother - UPDATE March 18, 2019

At the Bear Center, Ted was out raking from a couple open spots on this 41°F day, creating suspense as his fans cast votes on Mink Stripe close-upMink Stripe close-upwhen he and the other 3 will leave their dens officially and hopefully get weighed. The action was captured by an alert Bear Fan in this 3:37-minute video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=itTGbPAuTbY.

Pennsylvania bear and cubPennsylvania bear and cubIn Pennsylvania, the cub was frisky and squawking, sounding like it wanted to nurse but not going to the right place to do that. Mother remedied the situation. She pulled the cub toward her with her mouth, deposited the cub next to her, and the cub squawked and immediately fell to nursing, making the pulsing hum. Nice to hear in this 2:36-minute video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SgvMf02Ie4I. The picture is hard to see that she is pulling the cub to her with her teeth.

Thank you for all you do.
