A Fox in the Dark, A Siskin with Color - UPDATE February 9, 2019

The gray fox is very alert to other foxes now in mating season, and he found a good fox watch location up on the railing with enough light from the deck light to light him as he scans for foxes below him.Gray foxGray fox

SiskinSiskinA couple days ago, a pine siskin landed showing the yellow under his wings. Those are the highlights on these cold days (-24°F this morning) of desk work and not much word on bears.

My thoughts are often with the bears, though, wondering who had how many cubs now that birthing is likely over. Thinking of Shadow, whose cubbing days are likely over, but what a surprise it would be if she has one this year at 32.

Thank you for all you do.
