Ted in the New Year - UPDATE January 2, 2018

Ted began the New Year in a comfortable restful state snuggled in straw with the sun on his face. In this 2:38-minute video, he rearranges a bit of straw and snuggles nicely into it.SupermoonSupermoon

On this second day of the New Year, we were happy to see the familiar mink back doing his usual.

A good omen for the New Year might be this number that popped up on my odometer—253647.5. The first 6 numbers are a straight, of course, which seems lucky enough to happen to see. Then I realized the number held a hidden straight. Two and 5 are 7, 5 and 3 are 8, 3 and 6 are 9, and so on to make a hidden straight of 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, in order. That seemed too much of a coincidence to just happen on January 1. I’m taking it as a lucky omen for 2018. Plus there was a supermoon on January 1—14% larger and 30% brighter than the usual full moon. I might just be dreaming. We’ll see how things go. One thing we know. With all of you and the dedicated staff, good things will happen!

Thank you for all you do. Happy New Year.
