The photo is of the Bear Center's flag flying at half-mast in honor of the victims in Las Vegas. Our prayers are with the victims and their loved ones during this tragic time.Flag at half mastNABC flag at half-mast

Today was a day at the desk without much to report. The biggest excitement out the window was an eagle diving into the water in a failed attempt to catch a duck that dove deeper than the eagle did. The eagle took off and the duck emerged and did the same.

The biggest excitement overall was talk about adding virtual reality to the Bear Center. It’s what kids are into now. We talked with a leader in that field. He does not know of any museums in America that have it. The leader, an old friend, said he would come to the Bear Center and help us with ideas and development. It sounds like a natural for us. Exciting. One idea is virtually crawling into a bear den as part of upgrading the Cub Room.

I’m thankful that so many people want to help the bears.

Thank you for all you do.
