Hard at Work – UPDATE October 11, 2013

Wolf ConferenceWolf ConferenceWe’re hard at work putting together our presentations for the Sunday morning session of the International Wolf Center Symposium in Duluth.  Last night, NABC staff and volunteers set up an informational booth at the conference to promote the Bear Center and all it has to offer.

The 4 bears with working GPS units remained bedded today.  As far as we know, none are actually in dens.  Most bears in northeastern Minnesota are in dens by mid-October, so we expect these four will settle in soon.

NABC boothBear Center boothWe hope to see some of you at our talks this Sunday.   The 2 presentations will be at 8:30 AM and 8:55 AM at the Wolf Conference on Sunday, October 13th at the DECC in Duluth.  To encourage Lily Fans to attend the conference that day, the organizers reduced the usual 1-day price of $159 to $50 and will give 20% of that to the Bear Center.  Fans can pay at the door.  We look forward to meeting any folks who can make it.  For more information about the conference see http://www.wolf.org/wolves/news/events_2013conference.asp.

Thank you for all you do.
